going off the deep end....

it's been a long time...
shouldn't have left you..
without a nice beat to step to..step to...
just had to do that...
i know it's been sometime...
why haven't i blogged??? u ask...
because a lot has been going on in this world...
first ed..then farrah...now michael...I mean really MICHAEL JACKSON...that was a wth moment...and today billy mays....sigh....
but they all left a mark in this world...a BIG mark...
everyone...please watch farrah's story...it came on NBC then oxygen...it's soooooo amazing to see what that woman went through in her battle with cancer...she was a courageous woman..and to put yourself out there like that all for the better cause of putting a voice to a devestating disease...man...it left me speechless...
and michael..watching the BET awards as i type...i realize that there will never be ANOTHER that will come close to what you did for music...you will be missed...

sigh..so here i am...typing and watching BET's attempt at a tribute for the great MJ..the show is having it's moments but there is some wackness as well...and whoevers idea it was to bring back r&b dudes from the '90s...A plus to you...that and the jay-z perfomance along with the ojays saved the show for me...

anywhoo...today was a good day..spent the day at the beach..took a chance and got swallowed by some waves...but it was all good because i wasn't alone...others with more experience stood by my side the whole time..and held my hand as we went further...this is big...me not knowing how to swim and everything...
but i trusted them..i knew they were going to be there...and weren't leaving..as the first wave hit me..my pal grabbed my waist and pulled me up..and told me i could do it again..and i did...
much kudos to you cary..for being there..and not leaving myside..and giving me the courage to try it again...to go off the deep end ....but take it one step at a time..

Talking on the phone today to my sister, she said something to me that struck me. Struck me because it meant a lot.
