ok...i'm back...well i came back for this...because as i told my sister today over the phone nothing is coincidence...so hear goes... i was just minding my business (watching survivor and browsing the web), sitting on my bed when a bright light from outside my window caught my attention...i peered and gazed directly at a full mooon...now you know if you read this blog in it's earlier phases, i kinda have a thing for full moons...or the moon for any fact of the matter...i love the moon...been fascinated with since...so it's nothing new for me take some time to gaze and admire from time to time...but something at the moment told me to go outside and really look...maybe it's the fact that it was so bright...and i had nothing else on my agenda...and i've been in a reflective/appreciative state of mood lately...probably a combo of all those things..anyways some told me to go outside and stare, and to grab my phone on the way so i could take a picture for future reference...

ok...i know i haven't blogged in a bit... and in the last post i specifically reported that i would change that right???...well sorry to disappoint...stuff happens right???...and what has happened to me since...well; 1.)i vacationed in North Carolina and furthered witness the psychological/mental/emotional demise of my grandmother who is suffering from alzheimer's...i also enjoyed time with family, myself and my grandmother when she was in her more reflective/calmer states ( which were far and few but were times i came to cherish)... 2.)i took a hiatus from my job...not voluntary if you're asking...but mandated since i work with a research dept and lab and the research funding ran out in july so i have to wait for a new grant/funding to begin in order for me to continue to working...and it's worth the wait since i'll be a regular hire with BENEFITS!!!!!!!!!...so cross you fingers for me... 3.)my parents are moving back to North Carolina DEFinitely next year..and i...

M.ecca!!!!! i decided to rename this blog in honor of it being a year old and in honor of a new season!!!!! I was inspired on the way home from work on the bus...it's amazing what a shirt logo can conjure!!! Not to mention the meaning of the term in itself...it's also a combo of my nick name and my middle name (any one want to figure out that puzzle????)... all this to say welcome to the new M.ecca...hope you enjoy it as much as "You think you know..." You can think of it as a spin off..or continuation...or a new chapter...yeah i like that:0)... a new chapter.... now you can return to indulging in the awesomeness that is ms. badu below!!!! enjoy
